Final Days of Summer Vacation!

For the final days of summer vacation Mike and I took the boys to Hot Springs in Arkansas for a weekend. We had a lot of fun! We stayed at the Arlington Hotel. It is very old but kept up. We went swimming and sat in the hot tub which the water comes from the springs and is very hot. We also took the boys to Magic Springs which is an amusement park. I tried to get Trevor to go on the big yellow rollercoaster with me but NO CHANCE OF THAT! I did however get him to go on the Big Bad John rollercoaster with me. I was so proud of him. He was scared at first but once we started going and he saw that their weren't any huge hills to go up and down he really enjoyed the ride. Maybe some day he will get enough courage to go on some of the other ones with me! When we first got there to Magic Springs we went to their water park and Trevor went down the big racing blue slides with his dad and I. Of course Mike and I had to take turns going down with him cause Taylor is too small! We had so much fun!

Fair Time!

While my mom was out here we went to the fair in Springfield, MO. They had a dog show and the boys went on some rides and Mike, Trevor , and Taylor got to milk a cow! Real mild but fake cow! We also went to an 80's hairband concert. We saw Great White, L.A. Guns, and Firehouse! Boy that took me back to my highschool years! I enjoyed watching L. A. Guns and Firehouse. Great White not so much. I saw Great White open for White Snake in Las Vegas and they weren't that great there either. I guess time didn't do them any good still sucked! But all round a good time at the fair!

Taylor's 4th Birthday Camping!

Well I know it has been along time since I posted last. So now it is time to catch up! We went camping at the lake in Mt. Home for Taylor's Birthday. We brought the boat with us and my mom was here too. Mike's parents also came down for Taylor's Birthday and we all went out on the boat. Didn't get to go very far though cause the boat is still not running the way it should. We were able to find a cove though and we went swimming. The boys had fun. Trevor brought his friend Dustin with him. Dustin's Birthday was the day before Taylor's and so we invited him to come along. I think though the boys had a little too much togetherness cause Trevor was very glad to get home and see Dustin go home too. We all were glad! We had a great time but next camping trip no friends!!

RACCOON!

We have a new pet. This little raccoon has been coming up to the front porch and eating the leftover dog food in Jake's bowl. We tried to scare him off but no luck he just went up the tree next to the porch. Mike has named him Stripes!

Boating!

Well we finally got the boat going. At least we thought it was going. We had taken it out to the lake and found out that it had no power. We were able to drive to a cove across from the boat launch and swim for a while. Mike had his friend look at it again and now we think it is really fixed. We will be trying it before mom comes out on the 24th of July! It starts right up and Mike says it sounds much better. We will find out!

Wacky Hair!

Trevor had wacky hair day at school so we spiked the top with hair glue and sprayed the top green, cause his school colors are green and white. Of course Taylor had to have a picture with his brother doing a wacky pose!

Bull Riding!

Trevor and Taylor decided to take a ride on Grandpa Knudson's cement bull! They stayed on for 8 seconds! haha

Camping!

We went camping the weekend after Memorial weekend cause everything was booked that weekend which was fine cuz it rained all Memorial weekend. We took the kids floating in a canoe on the White River for their first time. It was awfully hot but the water was sooo cold we couldn't jump in to cool off. Mike did though and it about killed him. He couldn't catch his breath it was so cold. The boys had fun anyway. We went swimming at the lake and the boys got to ride their bikes. Trevor is finally riding without training wheels. Yeah! Was beginning to wonder if he would ever learn to ride a bike!
