Ice Storm!

I appologize for not posting for awhile. We had a severe ice storm here in Harrison Arkansas and left us without power for a week and a half. Not a fun time. We started out ok because we had a generator and we were able to plug in the TV, space heaters, and the refridgerator. We camped out in the living room the first two nights. The next day our generator broke so we ended up going up to Springfield Missouri for two nights and stayed in a motel there. Then we stayed a couple of nights with Mike's sister Keely in Nixa Missouri. We ended up coming back home because Trevor had to go back to school after being out for a week. We have a camper that we were able to stay in and we would charge the batteries with the truck to get us through the night with heat. Our heat is propane but the blower is electric. We finally got our generator fixed and then we were able to plug in the camper to it and we had all sorts of power. You really apprecaite electricity and space of your home when you are stuck in a 27 foot camper with two little boys that can't even go outside to play because of the mud and the down limbs. Here are some pics of the damage around our place.

Deepsea Fishing

Mike, Trevor, and Scott went deepsea fishing. They didn't catch anything though so it wasn't that great of a trip. One of the guides said that when ever someone brings bananas on the boat they get skunked. Mike said their were two guys that had bananas! So No Fish!

South Padre Islands Christmas 2008

We are spending Christmas this year at South Padre Island Texas. I figured I had better add a new post since I haven't done it in awhile. I will post some more as soon as I can. These pics are of Trevor and Taylor playing in the ocean and on the beach today (Christmas Day).

Goodbye Daniel

Today was a sad day here at the Knudson house. We had to put little Daniel to sleep. He had gotten hurt and after taking him to the vet he went down hill. He quit eating and was only drinking a little water. He also couldn't stand up. His whole left side was parallized. We were hoping that the medicine we were giving him would help but it wasn't . He had a disc in his left shoulder out and a pinched nerve which was parallizing him. He was in a lot of pain and wasn't himself. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old and he was now 10 1/2 years old, so it was very hard for me to say goodbye to him. I will miss him.

Last year for Christmas vacation we went to Texas to see Mike's parents. They go there for the winter! Anyway we went to South Padre Island and I was looking through some of the pictures and I found this one! I thought this was a good one for everyone to see!

Taylor must have been really tired! The second picture was just for fun! He likes to have his picture taken and then seeing himself on the camera and computer! I know he didn't get that from me as you can tell there isn't many pics of me cause I hate the camera when it is pointed at me! hahaha

Trevor 2nd Grade

Happy Halloween!

Halloween has finally come and gone! Trevor was the Black Spiderman and Taylor was Superman. We went trick or treating and the kids made out like bandits once again. I bet the dentists love this holiday! We hope everyone had a Happy and safe Halloween!

Camping again!

We went camping again for Trevor's Fall Break from school. They had a contest for decorating your camp site and they also had a hay ride. The boys and I went on the hay ride and then that evening we roasted marshmellows! More like flaming marshmellows!! We had a deer come up right behind our camp site while we were roasting the marshmellows. The people at the registration area feed the deer so they aren't as scared of people as they should be! The weather stayed pretty warm until the last night we were there and then it got really cold and windy.
